Board of Directors
Stuart L. Bascomb was elected to our board of directors in June 2012. Mr. Bascomb currently serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of QualSight, Inc., a Chicago, Illinois based company that manages laser vision correction surgery services.
Paul M. Black is Chief Executive Officer and President as well as board member of Allscripts. Black became CEO in December 2012, after serving on Allscripts board of directors for seven months. As Chief Executive Officer, Black oversees the direction of the company and its commitment to delivering a Connected Community of Health™.
Dennis H. Chookaszian was appointed to our board of directors in September 2010 and appointed to serve as chairman of our board of directors in April 2012. Mr. Chookaszian served as Chairman of the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council (FASAC), the advisory council to the FASB, from January 2007 until December 2011.
Robert J. Cindrich was appointed to our board of directors in May 2012 after being identified as a candidate by a member of the Nominating and Governance Committee and being recommended by the full committee. Mr. Cindrich currently serves as a senior advisor to the Office of the President of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC).
Michael Klayko was elected to our board of directors in May 2013. He joins Allscripts from Brocade Communications where he served as the CEO from 2005 until January 2013. During his leadership, revenue grew from $525 million to $2.3 billion while profit increased from $3 million to $570 million, and the company landed a spot on Fortune’s 100 Best Places to Work list with over 91% employee satisfaction. Mr. Klayko joined Brocade in 2003 as CEO following the acquisition of Rhapsody Networks in March 2003, where he was also the CEO the prior two years.
Anita Pramoda was elected to our board of directors in May 2013. She is the former Chief Financial Officer of Epic Systems Corporation, a $1 billion healthcare IT company that provides electronic medical records for over 40% of the U.S. population. She led Epic through a period of significant domestic market growth, its expansion into the governmental and international markets, and its launch into mobile health IT solutions. Prior to Epic, Ms. Pramoda helped commercialize self-healing packaging technology into wholesale, retail, and military sectors at Ontech. Earlier in her career, she worked with companies in the technology and healthcare sectors on a variety of strategic advisory and financing assignments at UBS Investment Bank, and served clients around the world in healthcare and life sciences at Arthur Andersen.
David D. Stevens was elected to our board of directors in June 2012. David currently serves as a private advisor and investor in private equity and, from 2004 to the present, as a director of Wright Medical Group, Inc., a public company which designs, manufactures and distributes orthopaedic implants and instrumentation, as well as of several privately-held healthcare companies.
Randy Thurman has served as a consulting advisor in private equity since 2008. Prior to that, he was a Founder, Chairman & CEO of VIASYS Healthcare Inc., a global leader in respiratory and neurological diagnostics, critical care, medical/surgical technologies and orthopedic product development and manufacturing.
